"I enrolled my son in the SOR for the weekly lessons and the weekly rehearsals for the quarterly performances with the other students. While he has had lessons before, it concerned me that he didn't have anyone to play with on a consistent basis and no real opportunity to perform. He was becoming a good bass player, but at the School, he is becoming a musician which is so much more than simply playing an instrument. Now he has friends who share his dreams and are willing to commit to the music and each other! AND they have so much fun together doing it!" Terri

"My 16 year old son LOVES this school. He knows if his homework isn't done, he can't go play music so he comes home from school and does his homework right away. His teacher at the music school and the music director there play in local bands that my son had heard of before taking lessons there so he feels like he's "in" with professional musicians which makes him feel great about himself. He can't wait to play his first concert. He also loves the fact that the music they're playing is Rock music. And I love it too because they're playing the classic rock songs I grew up with! "I love the concept of Rock School. The fact that my daughter not only learns to play an instrument, but is also able to show her skills in front of live audiences is what makes the program work.
